This project develops, and evaluates an approach that uses multimedia content to enhance the student experience for practical skills e.g. in laboratory-based disciplines. Initially it will be piloted within the area of recombinant DNA and Molecular Biology, but will be documented and readily transferable. DNA-fc, will be implemented in NILE, (The University of Northampton’s Virtual Learning Environment). Here students can consolidate key concepts before applying them in the laboratory.

Appointment of Junior Researcher
Congratulations to Dave Young who has been appointed as the Junior Researcher on the DNA-fc project. He brings considerable experience in molecular biology and is a welcome addition to the team!
First and foremost I would like to thank Dr Lee Machado and Dr Gemma Marsden for this fantastic opportunity that has been presented to me. I will endeavour to produce the highest quality of work achievable and cannot wait to get the project moving. I hope to be able to keep everyone up to date with its progress through this blog.
